Exciting huh?
Landing pages have many purposes:
- they help you generate leads
- they get your visitors to perform certain actions
- they help you make money by making it easier to make sales
- they help grow your following and positioning
As vital as landing pages are to running a business, many people still find them difficult, find them intimidating, or just aren’t evolving with the times.
Building landing pages is one of the top struggles businesses deal with. And when most businesses manage to get one (a landing page) up, they find it difficult to increase conversion rates and many don’t avoid the common mistakes associated with poor landing page design.
Plus, 50% of companies say that improving their online sales funnel is one of their top sales priorities this year.
As you can tell by now, landing pages are necessary for your business.
So it stands to reason that choosing the best landing page builder is important to save time, money, and guarantee your success.
Generic landing pages are not nearly enough to convert your leads into sales. You need to create stunning and optimized landing pages to direct your customers down the funnel.
This list compares and ranks the 12 best landing page builders.
Let’s get started.

Summary Of The Best Landing Page Builders
I know, 12 landing page builders is alot of information to take in, much less choose from. My suggestion is, go to each of the 12 landing page builders websites and get a feel for the experience.
If you want my personal recommendation, then I would choose 4 and do trial for each.
I would start with ClickFunnels, then take a look at Leadpages, then Instapage, then finally Unbounce.
Those would be my first choices if I was starting over looking for a good landing page builder.
What To Look For In A Landing Page Builder
The best landing page builders and softwares allow you to:
- easily and quickly create landing pages, sales funnels, and even order forms…
- track your stats like opt-in percentage, average order value, and more…
- publish and launch your landing pages quickly
The most important aspect of your search for a good landing page builder is that it fits YOUR business needs.
Personally, I look for something that saves me time, requires very little coding knowledge, makes publishing easy, has good support, a strong motivating community, and makes my excuses irrelevant.
Online or Offline Landing Page Builders
Landing pages can be used to start and grow any type of business, online or offline.
For example, here’s an example from clicking an ad by Ford:
It’s a landing page with a nice picture and a call to action, which is “See our full lineup of vehicles and find the one that best fits you.”
Here’s another example of a landing page, this time for an online based business, Constant Contact:
Constant Contact is an email marketing software company and their landing page is meant to get you to sign up for a free trial.
Landing pages are EVERYWHERE and used by all successful businesses.
You can sell anything using landing pages.
Speaking of call to actions, let’s go over a few ways to make sure your landing page converts and sells!
Tips To Make Your Landing Page Builder Pay For Itself Instantly
Ok, so now you know about some of the top landing page builders on the internet. Maybe you’ve already signed up for a trial or two.
Now what?
It’s important to not only have a landing page builder you love, now you need to start creating optimized, visually appealing, and converting landing pages to start growing your business.
It’s time to focus on adding value to your prospects and differentiate yourself from your competitors.
Here are a few tips I’ve learned after creating hundreds of landing pages, generating thousands of leads, and making tens of thousands of sales.
Tip #1: Find A Landing Page To “Hack”
There are MILLIONS of landing pages all over the internet and THOUSANDS in your niche. It’s your job to find some great ones and HACK them.
It’s tough to find ones that are actually good, are converting, and are actually making the business money (instead of losing money). You don’t want to “hack” a losing landing page, right?
Look for landing pages that are being run as ads and that have been running for a long time. It’s also a good idea to do some research on the business and see how successful they are.
Do your due diligence before hacking a page.
Here are 3 examples of landing pages that ARE working:
Here’s one that has a compelling headline and has built up some curiosity, along with social proof! If you’re in the service industry this would be a great landing page to hack.
Here’s another landing page from Sam Ovens, a high-ticket consultant who definitely knows what he’s doing. Who doesn’t want 30-50 NEW clients every single month on autopilot?
Anything on autopilot is great huh? Hint Hint….
You get the idea about landing page hacking, right?
Tip #2: Add A Compelling Headline
The headline of your blog landing page is the first thing visitors see, so making it as powerful and compelling as possible usually makes the biggest difference in your conversion rate.
And when your headline and ad copy are exactly the same, a compelling headline helps you get more traffic in the first place, too.
One of the most effective formulas for writing clickable and readable headlines is to agitate a problem your readers are having then provide a specific solution to the problem.
Some of the most popular headline formulas include:
- How to achieve something in a desirable time frame
- List post, such as 150 Tips To Creating Attention Grabbing Headlines Even If You Aren’t A Copywriter (see what I did there?)
- Ask a question (remember to answer it later)
Headlines are one of the easiest and highest return items to split-test with your new landing page builder.
Tip #3: Focus On Benefits Not Features
I know it’s kind of ironic, since I just provided you with a bullet list of features for each of the best landing page builders.
But in the case of generating leads and making sales, people are always asking themselves “what’s in it for me?”
That means they want to be shown the RESULT of using your service, buying your product or program, and WHY they should do business with you instead of the other guy.
So, highlight the benefits of the offer with a brief paragraph or a few bullet points. The best landing page description offers more than just a list what comprises the offer; it also clearly highlights the value of the offer and gives visitors a compelling incentive to download.
For example, let’s say you’re a photographer and you want to help food bloggers take better pictures… instead of saying “learn how to boost your recipe traffic” say something along the lines of “Discover how using XYZ camera lens increased recipe traffic by 50%.”
In other words, emphasize how the offer addresses a specific problem, need, or interest your target audience cares about.
Tip #4: Make Sure Your’e Mobile Optimized and Secure
Over 80% of my website traffic is coming from mobile and I suspect most of your traffic will come from mobile.
The good news? Most legitimate landing page builders on this post are ahead of the curve and everything you create inside any of the above 12 landing pages builders should be mobile optimized.
It’s still a good idea to immediately test your new landing page on your mobile device. Landing page builders like ClickFunnels, Getresponse, and Instapage let you see and even remove/add elements on mobile that aren’t rendering properly, but you want to leave on the desktop version.
Tip #5: Have A Call To Action
It’s important to keep your call to action (CTA) messaging consistent and congruent with the headline of the landing page. BUT, it’s even more important to include a call to action, ANY call to action.
If people click on a CTA for a free offer only to find out there’s a catch on the landing page, you’ll instantly lose their trust.
Similarly, if the headline reads differently than the CTA, it might lead to confusion, and the visitor might wonder if the CTA is linked to the wrong page. Eliminate any and all confusion, and make sure your landing page consistently reflects what you promised in your call-to-action — and vice versa.
Which Landing Page Builder Sounds The Best To You?
If you want to grow your business you can’t afford to NOT have a high-quality landing page(s).
If you a question about a specific landing page, how to create high-converting landing pages, or anything else about online marketing leave me a comment and I’ll try my best to help you!
