Using Clickmagick with ClickFunnels together allows you to create landing pages and test them in several ways to get best results. It sounds a little complicated, but I have been using both programs for the past two months without any problems.
So let us have a closer look at the two programs and what they do.
ClickFunnels
I’m starting with ClickFunnels because, in spite of the great things it can do, it is so intuitive that there is very little to say about it.
It doesn’t get any simpler than this, just click on create new funnel and follow the instructions to start from scratch. It does get simpler!! Because ClickFunnels is gradually replacing websites and other landing page creators online businesses are now providing ‘share links’. Open ClickFunnels in a browser tab, open a second tab, copy and paste the share link into the second tab and the official landing page will be added into your ClickFunnels account. Or you can create your own pages from scratch, it’s your choice.
I’m not going to go into all the editing features here, just to say that there are plenty of menus that allow you to choose backgrounds, link to your autoresponder and play around with the layout. If you should get stuck or have a query, check out the ‘Help’ menu on the dashboard which has links to documents and videos. If you are really stuck and can’t find the answer click the icon at the bottom of the screen to chat to one of their helpful staff members.
The Account menu includes an ‘integration’ link. Clicking on this will connect your autoresponder to ClickFunnels. You will need to get the API key from your autoresponder and copy it into ClickFunnels and then….er, that’s it!
When you are in the editing menu of your landing page, simply click ‘setting’ and ‘integration’. This will take you to the autoresponder, ‘add to campaign’ and ‘choose list’ from the drop down menu. This landing page is now connected to a specified list within your autoresponder and you are ready to build your list.
From this point you can create variation of your landing page and ClickFunnels will rotate these for you. Split testing at this level is simple and you can see immediately which pages are getting the most activity.
ClickMagick
ClickMagick will track all your clicks, telling you how many people clicked and whether they followed through and joined your opportunity, signed up for your newsletter of purchased your products.
In conjunction with ClickFunnels it is possible to ‘split test your split test’. If you are running more than one ‘split test’ page in ClickFunnels, you can add them both to the same link in ClickMagick to get equal exposure.
The Dashboard page will tell you exactly how your links are doing. Choose your date range from the dropdown date menu.
There’s a little bit of setting up to do with ClickMagick, but it is fairly straightforward.
Aside from the tracking, ClickMagick enables you to set up a domain to send your links to which hides your ClickFunnel link. Purchasing a domain can be done quite cheaply and helps you to build your own brand. If you are promoting an affiliate company this will also prevent your link being blocked if another affiliate is spamming the standard link.
Once you have purchased your domain name simply go into Domain Manager to add it to ClickMagick.
Back on the Dashboard you will select ‘create new link’ and see that your new domain name is already set up in the Tracking Link box – if it isn’t showing, it will be in the drop down menu.
Now you can create your own personalized links which will enable you to track your traffic and conversions.
My first reaction to ClickMagick was that it seemed complicated to set up. Once I started using it, it became quite logical.
If you want to use personalized links and track your progress this is a great program and everything’s clearly explained. This is the Dashboard page and you can see links to video tutorials and the knowledge base.
Just to reassure you that all the information is easily accessible, this first picture is the FAQ page. When you choose a topic from this list the lower half of the page will give you second list narrowing down your search.
Again, this seems like a lot of detail, but initially you will only require enough information to get you set up and running. This is all available as ‘step by step’ in text or video form.
ClickFunnels isn’t cheap, but you can create great landing pages really easily and split test them. I particularly appreciate the fact that some affiliate companies are sharing their pages which you can then change in order to stand out from the crowd.
The initial level of ClickMagick is inexpensive and allows you to up to 10,000 clicks per month linking to a maximum of two domains. If you are not sure the program is for you, start at this level with one of your programs and see how it goes.
Both of these programs have a 14 day free trial for new members – you could join both, buy a cheap domain name.
