So, you want to make make sales?
You keep pressing “Publish” on your blog posts wishing it would be the one to “go viral” and thinking it will give you more freedom.
You probably want what every blogger wants: TRAFFIC.
But, it never comes…
Well I have good news. Traffic will not solve your problems.
Before I started “Blogging With Funnels” I was working on my health and fitness blog and a few months ago I was getting over 2,500 visitors a day.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t making any money.
I tried placing ads on my website, I made $100 bucks in ONE month.
I launched a product and sold a few of them every week, another $300/month.
My costs were over $500 just to run my website and I was barely breaking even.
I THOUGHT traffic was my problem, but in reality, the real problem was:
My sales funnels were not optimized.
Why Most Blogs Aren’t Making Money
Blogs aren’t hard to monetize.
It’s the BLOGGERS (you?) that complicate things, mostly because they go straight to worrying about getting traffic to make money from Google Adsense.
I was guilty of the same thing 2 years ago.
Remember, generating traffic doesn’t automatically equal big pay days.
If you’re struggling to monetize your blog, find blogs in a similar niche as yours and model them.
In the ClickFunnels community, we call this “funnel hacking.” And it’s making people MILLIONS of dollars every year and it’s allowed me to earn almost $100,000 this year.

You’re just modeling other’s success. No stealing or plagiarizing.
Find something that people are buying and make a similar something, only unique and better.
I found successful products on a network called ClickBank, bought them, studied the sales pages, and then I got to work. Here’s what I did:
- I built a product very similar to the #1 product on ClickBank in the Health and Fitness category
- Of course, it’s important to use your philosophy, have unique material, and create a product that actually works and helps people
- I created a high-converting sales page similar to the product (This is the software I used)
- I wrote my own copy, used my client’s testimonials, and made a unique video
- I brainstormed 8 different article topics to write that would lead to offering my product to the reader
- This was fun, because I LOVE blogging and writing awesome content that opens my readers eyes to a different way of thinking
- I wrote the articles, launched the product, and promoted it like crazy

Stop Trying To Get More Traffic And What To Do Instead
I’ll be the first to admit it, without traffic you can’t make sales and your blog will die a slow and painful death.
If you don’t pull all of your hair out first.
At the time of transforming my blog, my largest traffic source was Facebook, but I started to get tired of algorithm changes and expensive cost of advertising.
I started focusing on Pinterest, my new favorite traffic source. Even though Facebook is still my #2 traffic source.
I was good making videos and GREAT at writing articles, so I focused on my strengths and wrote killer articles that people would love and SHARE.
I found a graphic designer on UpWork to make Pinterest images for me ( a weakness) and I hired a virtual assistant to spend some time on my Pinterest page (a weakness).
While they were doing that, I was in my zone of genius: Content Creation.
I recommend you sit down and brainstorm the things you enjoy in your business, then define who your audience is, and what they need.
If you do that, you’ll be in the 10% of bloggers who “get it.”
